The African Democratic Congress (ADC) says it has submitted the nomination particulars of its presidential and vice-presidential candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2027 general election.

The party said the details of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, were successfully uploaded to the commission’s nomination portal.

The development was announced on Tuesday night by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, in a post on his X account.

According to Abdullahi, the submission marks a key milestone in the party’s preparations for the 2027 polls and reflects its commitment to presenting what it described as a credible alternative to Nigerians.

He said the party remains focused on its campaign, which it said would be anchored on competence, national unity and renewal.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had yet to comment publicly on the submission as of the time of filing this report.
