Sunday Igboho Reaffirms Support for Tinubu, Criticizes Aregbesola
Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has strongly reaffirmed his unalloyed support for President Bola Tinubu’s political future, declaring that he will never turn his back on the President.
Speaking at a public gathering, Igboho drew a sharp contrast between his loyalty and the political trajectory of the former Governor of Osun State and ex-Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola. He criticized Aregbesola’s political stance against the President, stating that he would never be an ingrate to a leader who has consistently stood by his people and championed regional interests.
While solidifying his endorsement for President Tinubu, Igboho emphasized that the current administration’s policies are geared toward long-term structural transformation. He urged the Yoruba people and Nigerians at large to remain patient, united, and supportive of the government’s economic agenda. He reiterated that his advocacy has always been for the protection, security, and socio-economic advancement of the Southwest, which he believes aligns with the President’s national vision.
The activist’s remarks have sparked fresh conversations within the political landscape of the Southwest. Political analysts note that Igboho’s public alignment with the presidency marks a significant consolidation of regional support for Tinubu, while his direct swipe at Aregbesola underscores the lingering internal friction and realignments among prominent political figures within the region.
