FG Clarifies Dress Code for Security Agencies Medical Screening
The Federal Government has cleared the air on the dress code for applicants attending medical screening for recruitment into some paramilitary agencies.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) stated that there is no specific or prescribed dress code for the exercise. Applicants are simply advised to wear normal and decent clothes.
This clarification is important as the medical screening for successful candidates into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), and Federal Fire Service begins on Monday, June 22, 2026.
The Board warned applicants against following any false information asking them to wear particular outfits or bring credentials to the screening venue.
Candidates have also been told not to come with their original documents since no verification of papers will take place during the medical checks. The focus will be strictly on the health examination. The government urged everyone to rely only on official announcements from the Board to avoid being misled by fake news.
This recruitment exercise has seen huge interest from Nigerians, with millions applying for the available positions. After earlier stages like the computer-based test, thousands of shortlisted applicants are now preparing for this next phase. The clear guidelines are meant to make the process smooth and fair for all participants.
The move by the FG is expected to reduce confusion and help candidates prepare properly for the screening. Many young Nigerians hoping to join these services are relieved by the simple instructions. As the exercise kicks off next week, officials wish all applicants success and encourage them to stay focused on the opportunity.
