El-Rufai is Holding Place for Atiku in SDP, Alleges Bubba Galadima

Former National Secretary of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Buba Galadima, has revealed that former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai is politically working in cahoots with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Galadima alleged that El-Rufai, was merely holding a position for Atiku Abubakar in the Social Democratic Party (SDP) ahead of the 2027 elections.

Galadima’s statement has ignited a firestorm of controversy, as it sheds light on the behind-the-scenes maneuverings within the SDP, a party that has gained significant attention in recent times as a potential political vehicle for Atiku, the former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 and 2023 elections.

In a scathing critique, Galadima questioned El-Rufai’s leadership potential, stating that he lacks the necessary public relations skills and trust to lead the opposition in Nigeria.

“El-Rufai cannot lead an opposition party. It’s simply a case of karma catching up with him. He’s accustomed to taking over established structures, but now he’s trying to build from scratch, and he’ll soon realize how challenging politics can be,” Galadima said.

Galadima further emphasized that El-Rufai’s history of betrayal and his inability to forge lasting political relationships would ultimately lead to the downfall of the SDP.

According to Galadima, El-Rufai’s attempt to lead the SDP is driven by personal ambition rather than a genuine desire to serve the people.

“El-Rufai is only interested in his own self-interest; once his interest is no longer served, he’ll abandon you. He’s done it to everyone, and his track record proves it,” Galadima remarked.

Galadima’s comments were a direct response to those who view El-Rufai as a strong and capable leader who can lead the opposition.

He warned that those who support El-Rufai are likely to be disappointed when his self-serving nature ultimately undermines the party’s efforts.
