Youths in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, have reportedly announced plans to shut down economic and social activities across the town in protest against the continued captivity of schoolchildren and teachers abducted in Oriire Local Government Area.

The development comes amid growing concern over the fate of about 48 pupils and teachers reportedly abducted by gunmen in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
