APC Releases List of Cleared Aspirants for Lagos Local Government Elections

Ahead of the July 24, 2021, Local Government Elections in Lagos, the Electoral Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State has released the official list of Chairmanship aspirants. A total of 432 aspirants have been cleared to contest in the party’s forthcoming primary elections.

 

The list, which was signed by the party’s Secretary, Nurudeen Bamidele, and Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Ogala (SAN, OFR), shows that several aspirants were cleared to contest for the chairmanship positions in various Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Lagos State.

 

The full list of cleared aspirants includes:

 

* Agbado Oke Odo LCDA: 7 aspirants

* Agboyi-Ketu LCDA: 13 aspirants

* Agege Local Government: 6 aspirants

* Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government: 12 aspirants

* Alimosho Local Government: 4 aspirants

* Apapa Local Government: 1 aspirant

* Ayobo-Ipaja Local Government: 4 aspirants

* Badagry Central Local Government: 13 aspirants

* Bariga Local Council Development Area: 15 aspirants

* Coker/Aguda Local Government: 2 aspirants

* Epe Local Government: 4 aspirants

* Eredo Local Government: 11 aspirants

* Iba Local Government: 1 aspirant

* Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government: 2 aspirants

* Ifelodun Local Government: 5 aspirants

* Igando-Ikotun Local Government: 5 aspirants

* Igbogbo-Baiyeku Local Council Development Area: 5 aspirants

* Ijede Local Council Development Area: 1 aspirant

* Ikeja Local Government: 12 aspirants

* Ikorodu Central Local Government: 15 aspirants

* Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area: 9 aspirants

* Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area: 2 aspirants

* Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area: 8 aspirants

* Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area: 12 aspirants

* Ikoyi-Obalende Local Government: 9 aspirants

* Imota Local Government: 8 aspirants

* Ire-Ikate Local Government: 3 aspirants

* Isolo LCDA: 4 aspirants

* Kosofe Local Government: 2 aspirants

* Lagos Island Local Government: 7 aspirants

* Lagos Island East Local Government: 10 aspirants

* Lekki Local Council Development Area: 1 aspirant

* Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area: 5 aspirants

* Mushin Local Government: 8 aspirants

* Odi-Olowo Local Council Development Area: 5 aspirants

* Ojo Local Government: 11 aspirants

* Ojodu Local Council Development Area: 3 aspirants

* Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area: 4 aspirants

* Oshodi/Isolo: 4 aspirants

* Oto-Awori Local Government: 1 aspirant

* Shomolu Local Government: 18 aspirants

* Surulere Local Government: 1 aspirant

* Yaba Local Government: 0 aspirants

 

The primaries are expected to hold soon, and the winners will represent the APC in the July 24, 2021, Local Government Elections in Lagos.
