AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU: SEPARATING FACTS FROM FICTION IN KWARA STATE.

From Omo Ibile Igbomina

Your Excellency,

As Kwara State prepares for its upcoming political season, the need for a stable, unified, and strategically aligned party structure has never been more apt. To ensure the continued progress of our great party and the nation, we must base our decisions on verifiable electoral realities and a leadership model that resonates with the grassroots across all three senatorial districts.

A review of the 2023 general elections underscores the unwavering loyalty of the Kwara electorate to the APC. Contrary to false narratives, the data confirms a widespread mandate where Kwara South delivered the highest APC vote share at 68.5%, while Kwara North secured a robust 62.1%, and Kwara Central maintained a strong 54.3%.

These figures demonstrate that while each district is vital, Kwara South serves as the fulcrum, a powerhouse of the APC’s electoral strength. This loyalty is rooted in a deep-seated cultural and political alignment with the progressive ideals of your administration, proving that the South is an indispensable pillar of our party’s success in the state.

Kwara State’s strength lies in its rich heritage and the indigenous identity that binds its people together. While we celebrate our diversity, the core of Kwara’s political consciousness is deeply rooted in its Yoruba heritage, which stretches across the state from the heart of the Central district to the northern reaches of the state.

A strategic approach to Kwara must recognize this majority identity, though not to create division, but to foster unity. Our goal is to ensure that every citizen feels represented by a leadership that understands their history and shares their aspirations for a secure, prosperous, and culturally grounded future.

A proper understanding of this cultural identity is crucial for anyone making strategic decisions about Kwara’s future. The people, particularly the indigenous population, identify proudly with their Yoruba lineage, and it is this core identity that should guide our political alignment and selection of leadership moving forward.

To sustain our winning streak, Kwara requires a leader who embodies the Tinubu Method of governance, one who combines legislative experience with executive precision. Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa (BOB) is the candidate who fits this profile perfectly, offering a blend of experience and grassroots trust.

His credentials speak to his readiness, having served as a Local Government Chairman and a Member of the House of Representatives. This provides him with a unique 360-degree view of governance, allowing him to navigate both the administrative and legislative needs of the Kwara people effectively.

As a central figure in the 2019 “O’to ge” movement, BOB has shown the courage and grassroots appeal necessary to mobilize the masses for a common cause. His role in that historic shift proves his ability to unite various factions under a single, progressive banner for the greater good of the state.

Understanding that insecurity, specifically banditry is a localized threat, BOB advocates for an innovative way that will protect the lives and property of everyone living in Kwara, irrespective of where they are from proving be a leaver of all.

Your Excellency, sustainable political victories are built on genuine grassroots support and the choice of a candidate who can bridge the gap between different districts. Supporting BOB guarantees a total victory for the APC, as he is as comfortable in the traditional compounds of Ilorin as he is in the heart of Kwara South and North.

Kwara is ready for a leader who is a son of the soil in every sense of the word; one prepared to protect our heritage and drive the administrative reforms necessary for a modern state. We urge you to align with this indigenous majority to ensure that Kwara remains a secure stronghold for the APC in the years to come.
