Hanafi Musa, an aspirant for the Senate seat in Zamfara North Senatorial Zone, has explained why he decided to join the race. After spending 35 years working in Abuja, he said he observed how senators and House members operate.

When his people called on him to serve, he answered the call because he wants to contribute more to the development of his area, the state, and Nigeria as a whole.

Musa noted that he has already been supporting his people even before joining politics. He believes that getting to the Senate will allow him to do much more. His main goal is to uplift the standard of living of his constituents and ensure that people across Zamfara State benefit from his representation.

On the method of selecting candidates, Musa said he supports the position of the law. According to him, political parties should first try to use consensus.

However, if consensus fails, the Electoral Act allows for direct primaries so that the people can decide who should represent them. He described himself as a law-abiding citizen who wants the voice of the people to be heard.

Musa expressed confidence that his wealth of experience will enable him to attract meaningful development to Zamfara North. He promised to focus on issues that will improve the lives of ordinary citizens if given the opportunity to serve in the Senate.

At the end of the interview, Hanafi Musa formally declared his ambition, stating clearly that he is vying for the office of Senator representing Zamfara North Senatorial Zone.

His message of service, experience, and respect for democratic process has started gaining attention within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and among the people of the zone.
