Operatives of the Oyo State Police Command have apprehended 10 individuals in connection with the unlawful possession of human remains and suspected ritual activities within the state.

The arrests were executed following intelligence-led operations by security personnel targeting syndicate networks involved in grave desecration and illicit trade of human body parts across local communities.

During the enforcement operations, police officers recovered various human anatomical remains, which have been secured as critical evidence for forensic examination and prosecution.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects allegedly operated a syndicate specializing in exhuming corpses from burial grounds and procuring human parts for ritualists and traditional medicine practitioners.

The Command confirmed that an expanded investigation is underway to track down additional collaborators, reassuring members of the public that all suspects will be arraigned in court upon the conclusion of findings.
