Blessing CEO Remanded in Kirikiri Pending Perfection of Bail Conditions

Controversial relationship therapist and social media personality, Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has disclosed that she has been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos pending the perfection of her bail conditions.

The influencer made the revelation in a post shared on her social media platforms, stating, “I have been remanded in Kirikiri. Make I go rest pending when I perfect my bail.” Blessing CEO is currently facing prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing involving N36 million.

She was arraigned before a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, where she pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against her by the anti-graft agency.

According to the EFCC, Blessing CEO allegedly obtained N36 million from a complainant under the guise of facilitating the lease of a six-bedroom detached duplex located in Lekki, Lagos.

The commission further alleged that the representation made to the complainant was false and that the funds were converted for personal use.

During court proceedings, counsel to the defendant informed the court that his client had refunded N24 million to the complainant and was making efforts to settle the outstanding balance.

However, the prosecution argued that the matter remained a criminal case before the court and could not be resolved solely through private settlement. Justice D.I. Dipeolu subsequently granted bail to the defendant but ordered that she be remanded in custody pending the fulfilment of the bail conditions.

The case was adjourned for further hearing as legal proceedings continue. Blessing CEO's announcement from custody has since sparked widespread reactions on social media, with supporters and critics alike closely monitoring developments in the high-profile case.
