Iran Strongly Condemns US Restrictions on Ships in International Waters

Iran has spoken out strongly against new limits placed by the United States on ships moving through international waters. The country says these rules are wrong and go against basic laws of the sea. Officials in Iran see the action as a direct threat to free shipping routes that many nations rely on every day.

A spokesperson for the Unified Command of the Iranian Armed Forces called the US restrictions illegal. He went further and described them as an act of piracy on the open seas. This firm statement came quickly after the US announced its new measures, showing how upset Iran feels about the situation.

The dispute centers on busy waterways where oil tankers and cargo ships travel between continents. International waters belong to no single country, so ships from around the world usually pass without trouble. Iran now argues that the US rules break this long-standing freedom and could harm trade for everyone.

Tensions between Iran and the United States have been high for some time, especially over issues in the region’s waters. The latest US steps have added to the strain, with Iran warning that such moves could lead to bigger problems if not handled carefully. Both sides have their own views on what is fair at sea.

Many people watching the news wonder how this will affect global oil prices and safe passage for ships. Iran’s clear message is that it will not stay quiet about what it sees as unfair actions. The coming days may bring more talks or further steps as the two countries stand firm on their positions.
