The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has officially appointed Honorable Oluwole Oke as the Director-General of its 2026 Gubernatorial Campaign.
This strategic move is aimed at restructuring the party’s machinery ahead of the next election cycle.
During the announcement, the party leadership expressed total confidence in Oke’s ability to unite various factions. They highlighted his political experience and grassroots reach as essential assets needed to reclaim the state from the current administration.
The APC used the occasion to issue a formal “quit notice” to Governor Ademola Adeleke and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Party stalwarts claimed that the current government has failed to deliver on its promises to the people of Osun.
Criticism was directed at the Adeleke administration regarding the management of state resources and infrastructure projects. The APC alleged that the state’s development has stagnated and promised a more transparent alternative for the citizens.
In his acceptance speech, Oluwole Oke pledged to lead a robust and issue-based campaign. He called on all party members to set aside their internal differences and work toward the common goal of returning the APC to power.
The party also emphasized its commitment to mobilizing voters at the local government level. Plans are already in motion to strengthen ward-level structures to ensure a landslide victory in the upcoming 2026 polls.
This appointment marks the beginning of an early offensive by the Osun APC to regain political dominance. The party insists that the countdown to the end of the PDP-led government has officially begun.
