Zulum Felicitates Christians at Easter, Urges Reflection on Sacrifice, Love
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has extended Easter greetings to Christian faithful in the state and across Nigeria, urging them to reflect on the values of sacrifice, love, forgiveness, and spiritual renewal as the Lenten season comes to an end.
In a statement issued to mark the celebration, Zulum described Easter as a significant period in the Christian faith that commemorates the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ, calling on believers to use the occasion for sober reflection and renewed commitment to godly living.
The governor noted that the lessons of Easter—particularly sacrifice and forgiveness—remain essential for building a more peaceful and united society. He encouraged Christians to extend love and compassion to others, especially the less privileged, as a demonstration of the true spirit of the season.
Zulum also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to promoting peace, security, and the welfare of residents in Borno State, while urging citizens to continue supporting government efforts toward development and stability.
He further called for unity among people of different religious and ethnic backgrounds, stressing that harmonious coexistence is key to progress and sustainable development in the state and the country at large.
The governor wished all Christians a joyful Easter celebration and prayed for continued peace and prosperity across Borno State and Nigeria.
