The Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, visited President Bola Tinubu at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos on Sunday, April 5, 2026. The visit was a courtesy call intended to strengthen the relationship between the private sector and the current administration.
During the meeting, Rabiu extended delayed Eid-el-Fitr greetings to the President, noting that while the holiday had passed two weeks prior, he felt it was important to maintain his tradition of paying respects. He also congratulated the President on his 74th birthday, which was on March 29.
The business mogul offered prayers for the President’s continued health, wisdom, and strength as he leads the nation. He emphasized that his visit was a personal gesture of goodwill and a demonstration of his appreciation for the President’s leadership style and ongoing economic reforms.
Rabiu formally pledged his continued support for the administration, reinforcing the commitment of the BUA Group to Nigeria’s growth. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between major industrial players and the government to achieve national prosperity and stability.
President Tinubu was in Lagos for the Easter holidays following a busy schedule that included the inauguration of the Gateway Cargo International Airport in Ogun State.
He also recently visited Jos to console families affected by a recent tragedy in Plateau State.
As the head of one of Nigeria’s largest conglomerates, Rabiu’s visit underscores the alignment of key business leaders with the government’s agenda. BUA Group remains a central figure in the economy, with significant investments in cement, sugar, and infrastructure development.
