A member of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) has been killed in a shooting incident in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State following a dispute with a repentant Boko Haram member.

The incident occurred on April 3 at about 10:16 a.m. in Mafa town, according to security sources. An argument reportedly broke out between the two individuals before the situation escalated.

The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Abba Gana, a former Boko Haram member now operating under the CJTF structure, allegedly shot the victim, Adamu Ali, 25, in the chest using an AK-47 rifle.
