Military Denies Soldiers Provided Cover for Plateau Attackers

The Nigerian military has strongly denied claims that soldiers gave cover or support to attackers in Plateau State. Officials said the allegations are not true and have no basis. They made it clear that troops on duty in the area did not assist any group involved in the recent violence.

The denial comes after reports suggested soldiers may have helped the attackers during the incidents that led to many deaths. The military described such claims as false and misleading. They stressed that their personnel are trained to protect lives and not to aid criminals or troublemakers.

Plateau State has seen repeated attacks in recent times, leaving many communities in fear. Families have lost loved ones, and some villages were completely destroyed. The military has been working hard to restore calm and catch those responsible for the killings.

According to the military, soldiers are currently carrying out operations to secure the troubled areas. They urged the public to stop spreading unconfirmed stories that could damage trust between the people and the armed forces.

The statement called for everyone to work together and provide useful information to help stop the violence.

This clear denial aims to calm tensions and reassure residents that the military remains committed to protecting them. Officials promised to continue investigations and ensure justice is served for the victims. They also appealed for patience as operations are ongoing in different parts of the state.

The military’s firm position sends a message that no soldier will be allowed to support criminals. The people of Plateau hope this denial will lead to better security and an end to the cycle of attacks that have troubled the state for too long.
