By 𝔸bdulrazak Tomiwa

Senator Barau Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Senate, has issued an official statement to celebrate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday.

Born on March 29, 1952, the President officially reaches this milestone this Sunday.

In a tribute released by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, Barau described the President as a tireless and visionary leader. He highlighted Tinubu’s efforts over the last 34 months to reposition the nation for future generations.

The Senator offered prayers for the President’s continued health and longevity, asking for divine strength to fulfill his leadership goals. He noted that Tinubu remains dedicated to transforming Nigeria into a land of sustainable prosperity.

Looking ahead, Barau expressed strong confidence that Nigerians will return the President to office in the next election cycle. He predicted an overwhelming vote for Tinubu on January 16, 2027, to continue ongoing national reforms.

Barau remarked that by the President’s 75th birthday next year, he expects him to hold the title of President-elect for a second term. He suggested that an electoral victory would serve as a precursor to those celebrations.

As the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, Barau reaffirmed the National Assembly’s commitment to the executive branch. He stated that the legislature stands firmly with the President in addressing the nation’s various challenges.

The Deputy Senate President urged all Nigerian citizens to remain steadfast in their prayers for the country’s progress. He emphasized that the President has the nation’s best interests at heart and deserves full public support.

The message concluded by reiterating that the administration’s reforms are essential for long-term development. Barau praised the “Renewed Hope” agenda as the primary driving force behind the country’s current trajectory toward growth.
