Security Forces Apprehend 14 Suspects in Borno Tactical Raid

Troops from Operation Hadin Kai’s 21 Special Armoured Brigade have detained 14 suspects during a “cordon-and-search” operation in Bama. This mission marks a significant step in the military’s ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal and insurgent networks throughout Borno State.
The raid was triggered by credible intelligence targeting Baba Ali, a suspected terrorist and kidnapper. By tracking Ali’s movements, security forces aimed to disrupt his localized cell and prevent further kidnappings or attacks within the region.
On March 25 at 2:20 p.m., troops descended on Ngurosoye village after pinpointing the group’s location through intercepted communications. The precision of the strike allowed the military to secure the perimeter and apprehend the suspects without a prolonged standoff.
Beyond the arrests, soldiers seized two bags of fertilizer suspected for use in making improvised explosives. This recovery highlights the dangerous logistical capabilities of the group and the importance of the military’s intervention in the area.
All 14 suspects are currently in military custody for interrogation and further investigation. Officials remain committed to these tactical sweeps to ensure long-term stability and safety for the residents of Northeast Nigeria.
