President Bola Tinubu has congratulated veteran actor and academic Kola Oyewo on his 80th birthday. In an official statement, the President hailed the octogenarian as a “national treasure” and a distinguished ambassador of Nigerian storytelling and Yoruba theatre.
The President honored Oyewo’s multi-decade career spanning stage, screen, and academia. As a retired Theatre Arts lecturer at Obafemi Awolowo University, Oyewo was credited with shaping generations of artists and scholars through his brilliance and professional dedication.
