Authorities in the United Kingdom have launched an urgent investigation following an overnight arson attack in Golders Green, where four ambulances belonging to a Jewish volunteer emergency medical service were set ablaze.

According to initial reports, a group identifying itself as “Ashab al-Yamin” has claimed responsibility for the incident, alleging links to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). However, officials have not yet independently verified the authenticity of the claim.

Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene late Sunday night, containing the fire and securing the affected area. No fatalities have been reported, though the destruction of the ambulances is expected to impact local emergency response capacity.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a counterterrorism investigation is underway, with officers working to establish the motive behind the attack and identify those responsible. As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant.

Security analysts warn that if the claim of responsibility is substantiated, the incident could point to a broader and more concerning development involving extremist networks operating within the UK. Golders Green, known for its large Jewish community, has previously been considered a sensitive area in terms of security.
