Allegations Rock Church as Member Accuses General Overseer of Secret Marriage
By Momodu Favour
A member of the The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement has sparked controversy after publicly accusing the church’s General Overseer, Lazarus Muoka, of secretly entering into a third marriage.
In a statement circulating online, the member congratulated the cleric on what she described as a covert wedding, while alleging hypocrisy in his teachings on marriage.
She claimed that the pastor had previously used sermons to criticize her marital situation, ultimately contributing to the breakdown of her own home.
“Congratulations to our pastor who has married secretly again for the third time,” the statement read in part. “This is the same man that used preaching to chase me out of my husband’s house.”
The accuser also questioned the timing of the alleged marriage, pointing out that it reportedly occurred less than two years after the death of the pastor’s previous wife. She further alleged that the new spouse is an American citizen, similar to his late wife.
The claims, which remain unverified, have generated mixed reactions among church members and followers on social media.
While some expressed shock and disappointment, others urged caution, noting that the allegations have not been substantiated by official statements from the church leadership.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Lazarus Muoka nor representatives of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement have responded publicly to the accusations.
Observers say the situation underscores the growing role of social media in amplifying internal disputes within religious organizations, often placing leadership under intense public scrutiny.
Further developments are expected as reactions continue to unfold.
