Nigerian Army Detains Brigadier General Archibong’s Staff Over Alleged Security Breach

By 𝔸bdulrazak Tomiwa

The Nigerian Army has detained the domestic staff of Brigadier General Archibong following a high-level security investigation. The arrests aim to determine if these workers were involved with a controversial general currently under scrutiny.

The crackdown began after intelligence suggested the staff might have facilitated unauthorized information sharing. This move is part of a larger internal effort to eliminate potential threats and sanitize the military’s top hierarchy.

Detainees include personal aides, drivers, and house help from the Brigadier General’s residence. Investigators are currently analyzing their financial records and communication logs to uncover any links to a broader conspiracy.

The high-ranking general at the center of the probe remains officially unnamed but is reportedly a very influential figure. These developments have led to increased surveillance of all personnel serving in sensitive residential roles.

Army Headquarters has not yet released formal charges as high-level meetings continue behind closed doors. The military remains focused on identifying all collaborators to ensure the integrity of the institution is maintained.

While human rights advocates have called for due process and transparency regarding the detentions, the army maintains that the case’s sensitivity requires strict confidentiality. The investigation continues as authorities vet all individuals involved.
