Iyabo Ojo Issues Legal Warning Over Baba Ijesha’s Claims on Her Children
Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo has issued a legal warning to comic actor Olanrewaju “Baba Ijesha” James following his recent comments about their past relationship, particularly his claim that she once left her children in his care.
The actor made the remarks during an interview on a YouTube podcast, where he recounted his interactions with Ojo and expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of their relationship.
In his account, he alleged that Ojo had, at a point, entrusted him with the supervision of her children, Festus and Priscilla, while she stepped out from her business premises in Ilupeju, Lagos.
Reacting via her Instagram Story, Ojo rejected the claim and described the reference to her children as inappropriate. She issued a cease-and-desist notice, warning him against mentioning her family in connection with the matter.
While stating that she had no objection to him narrating his own version of events, the actress insisted that bringing her children into the discussion was unacceptable and misleading.
She maintained that her children were never left unattended at her place of business, adding that they were always under the supervision of caregivers or staff members.
Ojo also cautioned that continued reference to her children could lead to legal action, noting that her legal team would be instructed to respond appropriately if the statements persist.
She further addressed the broader context of the dispute, reiterating her stance on the case involving Baba Ijesha, in which she had previously taken an active role as an advocate for the alleged minor involved.
The controversy surrounding both individuals dates back several years and has previously generated public debate within the entertainment industry, including reactions from other actors and filmmakers.
The latest exchange has renewed attention on the past allegations and ongoing tensions, with Ojo maintaining her position while urging respect for her family’s privacy.
