Uphold Ramadan Values Beyond Eid, Tinubu Charges Muslims

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Muslim faithful in Nigeria and around the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the Ramadan fast, while urging renewed patriotism and commitment to national unity.

In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President encouraged Muslims to reflect on the spiritual lessons of Ramadan, including piety, selflessness, perseverance, kindness, and compassion.

Tinubu noted that the values emphasised during the holy month should be sustained beyond the fasting period, stressing the need for citizens to remain committed to the well-being of others and the progress of the nation.

He also called on Muslims to extend gestures of kindness to the less privileged, regardless of religious background, as a way of promoting unity, empathy and social harmony across the country.

The President further appealed to religious leaders to use the Eid-el-Fitr celebration as an opportunity to pray for peace, stability, and prosperity in Nigeria.

Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering national cohesion and urged Nigerians to continue supporting efforts aimed at strengthening unity and development.
