Ademola Adeleke Backs Bola Ahmed Tinubu for 2027 Re-election Bid
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has declared his readiness to support the re-election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
He made this known during a meeting with political stakeholders, where he openly expressed his position on the upcoming election.
Adeleke explained that his decision is based on what he sees as the best interest of the South West region. According to him, despite belonging to different political parties, Tinubu remains a key figure in the region’s political structure, and supporting him is important for unity and continued development.
The governor also addressed ongoing political tensions in Osun State, particularly issues surrounding local government administration. He made it clear that these challenges would not affect his support for Tinubu, stressing that state-level disagreements are separate from national political decisions.
In his remarks, Adeleke appreciated the people of Osun for their continued support for his administration. He noted that his government has been working closely with communities across the state and has seen growing participation and support from residents.
Looking ahead, he promised to focus more on development projects, especially in areas such as infrastructure, education, agriculture, and youth empowerment. He assured citizens that his administration remains committed to improving their living conditions.
The governor’s statement has attracted attention across Nigeria’s political space, as it signals possible political alignments ahead of the 2027 elections. It also shows how leaders across party lines may work together as the country prepares for another election cycle.
