Isaac Fayose Stakes N10 Million that Tinubu Won’t Get 20%Votes from South East in 2027

Controversy has continued to swirl around the activities of the City Boys Movement in the South-East, as businessman and social media personality, Isaac Fayose boldly predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will fail to secure even 20 percent of votes in the region during the 2027 general elections.

Fayose has reportedly staked ₦10 million on his prediction. Fayose made the declaration online while commenting on recent City Boys events in Owerri, Imo State.

He observed that turnout at the rallies was low and noted that security personnel outnumbered supporters, which he believes signals weak electoral prospects for Tinubu in the South-East.

The City Boys Movement, widely believed to have ties to Seyi Tinubu, the president’s son, has been hosting outreach events and rallies across the South-East in an attempt to mobilize youth support for the president ahead of 2027.

Despite these efforts, political observers and former allies of Tinubu have criticized the strategy, citing organizational lapses and mixed reception at grassroots events.

Reports from Owerri indicate that some residents disrupted City Boys activities, taking away materials meant for distribution at rallies. Nonetheless, the governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, welcomed representatives of the movement, urging youths to engage with the administration’s national agenda.

Historically, the South-East has been a challenging region for the All Progressives Congress (APC), with the party performing poorly in previous elections.

Efforts by the City Boys Movement are seen as part of an initiative to broaden Tinubu’s support base in the region ahead of the next general election cycle.
