Trump Rejects Putin’s Iran Nuclear Materials Transfer Proposal

Donald Trump has reportedly rejected a proposal from Vladimir Putin to transfer Iran’s enriched uranium to Russia as part of a deal to end the conflict between the U.S., Israel, and Tehran.
The offer was made during a recent call but was declined. This follows Trump’s suggestion that Russia may be aiding Iran, which contradicts previous claims by his Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, regarding Moscow’s denial of intelligence sharing.
Addressing the matter on Fox News, Trump stated, “I think he might be helping them a little bit, yeah, I guess, and he probably thinks we’re helping Ukraine, right? Yeah, we’re helping them also. So he [Putin] says that, and China would say the same thing, you know. It’s like, hey, they do it and we do it, in all fairness. They do it and we do it.”
Despite Yuri Ushakov’s earlier denials of Russian cooperation with Tehran, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that the administration warned Russia that such support would be viewed unfavorably.
Russia may gain $10 billion in energy revenue due to lifted shipping restrictions, occurring as the Strait of Hormuz closure has pushed oil prices above $120.
