We Won’t Allow A Drop of Crude Destined for America, Israel or Allies Pass Through Strait of Hormuz, Warns Iran as Oil Could Hit $200 per Barrel

Iran has threatened to block oil shipments through the strategic Strait of Hormuz if they are destined for the United States, Israel, or their allies, warning that global crude prices could surge to $200 per barrel if tensions continue to escalate.

The warning was issued by a spokesperson for the Iranian military, who said Tehran would not allow “a single litre of oil” to pass through the vital shipping route if it benefits what he described as hostile nations.

According to the spokesman, the move is part of Iran’s broader response to rising tensions in the Middle East and alleged actions by its adversaries.

“If it benefits the United States, Israel and their partners, no single litre of oil will pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Prepare for oil at $200 per barrel,” the official reportedly said.

The Strait of Hormuz, located between Iran and Oman, is one of the most important oil transit chokepoints in the world. Nearly 20 percent of global oil supply passes through the narrow waterway each day, making it critical to international energy markets.

Energy analysts warn that any disruption to shipping in the strait could trigger a sharp spike in oil prices, disrupt global supply chains and push fuel costs higher worldwide.

The latest threat comes amid heightened geopolitical tensions in the region, with growing concerns over maritime security and the safety of commercial vessels operating near the Gulf.

International observers say a closure or significant disruption of the shipping lane could have severe consequences for the global economy, as many oil-exporting countries in the Middle East rely heavily on the route to transport crude to global markets.

While there has been no immediate confirmation of an actual blockade, the statement has already sparked concern among governments and energy traders monitoring the situation closely.
