Senior IRGC Commander Reportedly Eliminated in Joint U.S.-Israeli Strikes

A high ranking General in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reportedly been killed in recent airstrikes carried out by U.S. and Israeli forces, according to circulating reports on social media and regional observers.

The individual, identified as Taiq Enaut and described by some sources as one of the IRGC’s most ruthless figures, was said to have been taken out in operations targeting Iranian military infrastructure. This development comes amid escalating conflict between Iran and a U.S.-Israeli coalition.

The claim surfaced prominently through posts on X, where former Israeli government spokesman David Keyes announced the elimination, stating it makes the world safer. Supporters of the action quickly amplified the news, viewing it as a significant setback for Iran’s elite military force, which oversees much of the country’s external operations, proxy militias, and internal security efforts.

The IRGC has long been designated a terrorist organization by the United States and several allies due to its role in regional instability.

No official statement has been issued by Iranian authorities confirming or denying the death of Taiq Enaut, nor have the U.S. or Israeli governments provided public verification at this stage. In the broader context of ongoing strikes, which began in late February 2026 and have continued into March, multiple senior IRGC and regime figures have already been reported killed or targeted, including past losses of top commanders like Mohammad Pakpour and others in command structures. These operations have aimed at degrading Iran’s military capabilities, nuclear related sites, and leadership networks.

The reported elimination, if confirmed, would represent another blow to the IRGC’s hierarchy during a period of intense pressure on the Islamic Republic. Joint U.S.-Israeli actions have destroyed key facilities, including headquarters linked to the force, while Iran has responded with missile and drone barrages across the region. Such targeted strikes have become a recurring feature of the conflict, often designed to disrupt command chains and deter further aggression without full scale ground invasion.

Analysts note that unconfirmed reports of high profile deaths can spread rapidly in wartime environments, sometimes serving psychological or propaganda purposes on all sides.

Until independent verification emerges from credible intelligence or official channels, the status of Taiq Enaut remains in the realm of breaking developments. The situation continues to evolve quickly in this volatile theater, with implications for regional stability and global security.
