The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC portal for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream I orientation exercise will officially open for registration on Wednesday, March 12, 2026.
Eligible graduates from both local and foreign institutions are urged to prepare their documents for the mobilization process.
Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) must complete their profiles on the official NYSC portal. Management warned that the registration is time-sensitive and advised candidates to act early to avoid technical issues or missing the first stream.
Linking a National Identification Number (NIN) is now mandatory for all applicants. This requirement is designed to enhance data security and ensure that only qualified individuals are mobilized for the service year.
Foreign-trained graduates must upload original degree certificates and transcripts to the portal. They are also required to provide international passports and proof of residence to verify their studies abroad before mobilization.
Graduates who schooled in Nigeria can only register if their names appear on the Senate-approved lists uploaded by their institutions.
Candidates should verify their status on the portal early to resolve any potential discrepancies with their schools.
All PCMs must obtain a valid medical fitness certificate from a government or military hospital. This document is essential to confirm that participants are physically fit for the three-week paramilitary training at the orientation camps.
Once registration concludes, the scheme will issue call-up letters detailing deployment states and camp locations. The NYSC remains committed to its mission of fostering national unity and youth development through this new service cycle.
