Iran Condemns “Brutal” Israeli Air Strikes, Violations of Lebanon’s Sovereignty

By 𝔸bdulrazak Tomiwa

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, has issued a fierce denunciation of the recent “brutal” Israeli aerial bombardments targeting southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern districts.

Baghaei slammed the actions as “repeated and gross violations of Lebanon’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity,” while specifically highlighting that these strikes breach the ceasefire terms established in November 2024.

He further labeled the international community’s lack of response particularly from those purportedly defending the “rule of law” and “human rights”as “shameful.”

He concluded with a stern warning that these ongoing hostilities have pushed global stability to an “unprecedented level of risk.”
