We’re Prepared to Defend Ourselves, UAE Tells Iran over Attacks.
UAE officials stated that while they prefer diplomacy, they are fully prepared to defend their sovereignty and territory if provocations continue.
The warning follows recent attacks targeting commercial interests and infrastructure, which the UAE and its allies attribute to Iranian-backed groups.
The Emirates emphasized that the safety of its citizens and the stability of its economy remain non-negotiable priorities.
A senior UAE spokesperson highlighted that the nation has invested heavily in advanced defense systems to counter aerial threats. They noted that their military readiness is at an all-time high to ensure a swift response to any further aggression.
Despite the military posture, the UAE expressed a strong desire for peace, stating, “We hope it doesn’t come to it.” The government urged Iran to choose the path of de-escalation and respect international borders to avoid a wider regional conflict.
The Emirates called on the international community to hold aggressors accountable and support maritime security in the Gulf. They argued that global energy supplies and trade routes are at risk if these “reckless” attacks are allowed to persist.
International analysts view this shift in rhetoric as a sign of thinning patience in Abu Dhabi.
The UAE concludes that while the door to dialogue remains open, it will not hesitate to use force to protect its national interests.
