The Federal Polytechnic, Wannune, in Benue State, has officially confirmed the receipt of ₦22,656,000.00 from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

The institution expressed its gratitude for the funding, which is aimed at supporting the academic pursuits of its students.

The funds were credited to the polytechnic’s account recently. This specific disbursement is allocated to cover the educational costs for 354 students who successfully completed the application and verification process for the first batch of the current academic year.

The polytechnic management noted that the arrival of these funds serves as a major financial relief for the beneficiaries. By covering tuition and other related fees, the loan scheme is helping to ensure that more students can remain in school regardless of their economic background.

The institution’s Bursar, Eworo Gabriel Dave, signed the official acknowledgment addressed to the Managing Director of NELFUND in Abuja. The polytechnic credited the leadership of the fund for its efficiency in handling the disbursement process for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The management further emphasized that this intervention is a significant step in strengthening access to quality tertiary education. They highlighted that such financial support is crucial for the success of the government’s broader educational development goals.

With the successful verification of this first group of students, the institution looks forward to continued collaboration with the loan fund. This move is expected to pave the way for subsequent batches of students to benefit from the national financial aid initiative.
