I’ll Always Stay Mute — Nons Miraj Fires Back at Critics

By Rachel Akper

Popular Nigerian content creator and actress, Nons Miraj, has stated that she will continue to remain silent in the face of online criticism and social media attacks.

The entertainer made the declaration during a recent interview appearance, where she addressed how she handles trolling and negative comments directed at her.

“I will always stay mute no matter how much I am dragged,” she said, explaining that responding to critics often fuels further controversy.

According to her, silence has proven to be an effective strategy, as public attention usually shifts when there is no reaction from the person being criticized.

She maintained that she has no interest in engaging in online disputes or proving herself to detractors.

Nons Miraj also dismissed speculation suggesting that her career success is being financed by a wealthy sponsor. She clarified that her achievements are the result of hard work and dedication, not secret financial backing.

The skit maker, known for her vibrant online presence and hosting roles, emphasized that public figures cannot control public opinion but can control how they respond to it.

Her comments have since generated reactions on social media, with some supporters applauding her approach to maintaining composure, while others argue that celebrities sometimes need to address controversies directly.

Despite the mixed reactions, Nons Miraj appears firm in her decision to adopt silence as her preferred method of handling criticism.
