The management of the Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery has officially debunked viral reports of a kidnapping at its Kishi campus.

In a statement released Sunday, the institution clarified that the claims are entirely false and baseless.

Provost, Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi confirmed that a thorough internal review was conducted alongside security personnel. The investigation proved that no student or staff member had been abducted or harmed on the premises.

Management labeled the reports as dangerous misinformation intended to cause public panic. They urged students and parents to remain calm, stating that the campus remains peaceful and academic activities are continuing as planned.

The college has engaged security agencies to trace the source of the rumor. Additionally, the institution is working to strengthen campus surveillance to prevent the spread of false alarms in the future.

Security protocols have been reinforced to ensure a safe learning environment for everyone. The Provost reiterated that the safety of students and staff remains the institution’s highest priority.

Parents and guardians are advised to verify information through official college channels before reacting to unverified posts. The management reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a secure atmosphere for all students.
