Borno ACP Dies in Auto Crash

The Borno State Police Command is in mourning following the death of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ahmad Musa. 

 

The senior officer lost his life in a fatal motor accident on the Jos-Bauchi road while traveling to visit his family.

 

According to reports, the crash occurred over the weekend when the vehicle Musa was traveling in was involved in a head-on collision. The impact was severe, leading to the untimely death of the high-ranking officer at the scene.

 

Until his death, Musa served as the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Borno.

 

He was widely regarded as a dedicated officer who played a key role in maintaining security within the state.

 

The Borno State Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the incident, expressing deep shock and sadness. The command described the loss as a major blow to the force, noting Musa’s professionalism and commitment to duty.

 

Colleagues and subordinates have described the late ACP as a mentor and a disciplinarian who led with integrity. His leadership at the SCID was credited with the successful investigation and prosecution of numerous high-profile criminal cases.

 

Arrangements are being made for his burial in accordance with Islamic rites in his hometown. The police community and the Borno State government have extended their condolences to his family during this difficult period.
