APC Celebrates Victory in Rivers Bye-Elections
The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has congratulated its candidates who emerged victorious in Saturday’s bye-elections conducted to fill vacant seats in the state House of Assembly.
The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Burabari Lolo of Khana Constituency II and Napoleon Ukalikpe of Ahoada Constituency II as winners of the polls.
In a statement issued on Sunday in Port Harcourt by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Chibike Ikenga, the APC attributed the victories to what it described as the collective efforts of party leaders, members, supporters and other stakeholders.
The party expressed appreciation to its supporters for their commitment during the campaign and election period, describing the outcome as a reflection of grassroots mobilisation and unity within its ranks.
It urged the lawmakers-elect to collaborate with other members of the Rivers State House of Assembly to strengthen democratic processes and promote policies aimed at advancing development in the oil-rich state.
The statement also encouraged party faithful to intensify efforts ahead of future elections, including the 2027 general elections, while reaffirming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates.
According to the party, the newly elected legislators are expected to uphold principles of accountability, transparency and effective representation in the discharge of their duties.
