Anambra CP Tasks His Men on Professionalism as He Decorates 300 Newly Promoted

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has decorated 300 newly promoted officers at the Command Headquarters in Awka.
This elevation follows recent approvals by the Inspector-General of Police and the Police Service Commission.
The Commissioner congratulated the officers, describing their new ranks as a reward for hard work and dedication. He reminded them that the promotion is a significant call to higher responsibility and accountability.
CP Orutugu urged the personnel to maintain strict discipline and professional integrity. He cautioned against corruption and misconduct, emphasizing that they must serve as positive role models to their subordinates.
He highlighted the importance of community-oriented policing to combat crime effectively.
The officers were encouraged to build stronger partnerships with the public and foster mutual trust within Anambra communities.
The CP also reinforced the need for civility and the protection of human rights. He stated that all police conduct must align with the Nigeria Police Act to ensure the safety and dignity of all citizens.
Speaking for the promoters, the most senior officer thanked the police leadership for the recognition. They pledged to justify their new ranks through improved service and loyalty to the state and nation.
