Trump Issues 10-Day Ultimatum to Iran for New Nuclear Deal

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, suggesting the Islamic Republic has just 10 days to return to the negotiating table and reach a new agreement with the United States.
Speaking during a televised address, Trump signaled a significant escalation in his administration’s “maximum pressure” campaign, aimed at curbing Tehran’s nuclear ambitions and regional influence.
The President emphasized that the window for diplomacy is rapidly closing, indicating that failure to comply would result in severe consequences.
This ultimatum comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and follows a series of reciprocal threats between Washington and Tehran over maritime security and uranium enrichment levels.
The White House has maintained that the previous 2015 nuclear deal was fundamentally flawed and that any new pact must address Iran’s ballistic missile program.
Trump’s 10-day timeline appears designed to force an immediate response from Iranian leadership, who have so far remained defiant against U.S. economic sanctions.
International observers and allies have expressed concern over the rigid deadline, fearing it could lead to a military confrontation if diplomatic channels fail.
Despite these concerns, the Trump administration insists that only a credible threat of further action will compel Iran to make the necessary concessions for a lasting regional peace.
During the announcement, President Trump was explicit about his expectations for the coming days, framing the moment as a final opportunity for Iranian officials. He warned that the United States is prepared to move beyond sanctions if the deadline is ignored, stating that his patience with the current diplomatic stalemate has reached its limit.
Directly addressing the urgency of the situation, Trump stated, “They have 10 days. If they don’t have a deal in 10 days, we’re going to do things that nobody thought were possible. They better get to the table, and they better get there fast.”
