Kebbi APC in Consensus Appointment of New Ward Leaders

The Kebbi APC has successfully conducted ward congresses across 225 wards which held on Wednesday.
The exercise utilized a consensus model to elect new executives, coinciding with the start of the Ramadan fast.
Governor Nasir Idris monitored the voting at several Birnin Kebbi schools. High-profile leaders, including Minister Atiku Bagudu and Senator Adamu Aliero, accompanied him to show party unity.
Chairman Abubakar Kana-Zuru stated the consensus approach was designed to maintain internal harmony. He confirmed the process followed all official party guidelines and constitutional requirements.
Governor Idris praised the peaceful conduct of the members during his tour. He emphasized that strong ward leadership is vital for delivering government programs to rural areas.
Highlighting his support, Governor Nasir Idris stated, “My administration is ready to work with the newly elected ward leaders in advancing party and government programmes at the grassroots level to ensure that our people benefit from our policies.”
Committee Chairman Abdulmalik Mahmood labeled the exercise a major success for the party’s structure. This sets the stage for upcoming local government and state-level congresses in Kebbi.
