SERVICOM has praised the NYSC for significantly improving service delivery at orientation camps.

The commendation specifically highlighted better feeding standards and the quality of services provided to corps members.

The recognition came during the 2025 Second Quarter Networking Meeting for Desk Officers in Abuja. National Coordinator Nnenna Akajemeli described the NYSC as a leading agency for responsiveness and citizen-focused service.

Represented by Mrs. Ngozi Akinbodewa, Akajemeli noted that improved camp operations align with high public standards.

The meeting aimed to further integrate SERVICOM’s efficiency principles into the scheme’s daily activities.

NYSC Director-General Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu reaffirmed the scheme’s resolve to maintain and elevate these standards. He emphasized that the workshop was a “call to action” for staff to improve performance.

Represented by Chief Chinwendu Chukwu, Nafiu urged officers to maintain high professionalism and integrity. He labeled desk officers as the essential link for maintaining optimal service between the NYSC and the public.

The DG encouraged participants to reassess stakeholder engagement to boost public confidence in the scheme. Attendees included officers from the national headquarters and all 36 state secretariats.
