A female MFM member was killed Saturday by a Mercedes-Benz C-300 at the NYSC Bus Stop in Igando.

The victim was struck while walking to a church service.

The driver fled the scene immediately after the collision. LASTMA officials condemned the escape as a “reprehensible development” and a violation of civic obligations.

LASTMA personnel arrived quickly to cordon off the area. Their prompt response prevented secondary accidents and ensured the safety of other commuters.

The abandoned vehicle was recovered through a joint effort between traffic operatives and the police. An investigation is now underway to apprehend the fleeing driver.

LASTMA General Manager Olajide Bakare-Oki extended condolences to the victim’s family and the church. He described the incident as a tragic loss of life.

Authorities urged motorists to obey speed limits and respect pedestrian rights. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining traffic discipline across Lagos.
