Police Rescue 2 Abducted Teenagers, Arrest Suspected Kidnapper in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has rescued two teenagers who were abducted in Song Local Government Area of the state and arrested a suspected kidnapper during a coordinated security operation.

The victims, identified as 18-year-old Rabe Mamman Sani and 16-year-old Aminu Mamman Sani, were reportedly abducted from Gwewan Village in Dumne district, Song LGA. Their rescue followed a joint operation involving police operatives and other security agencies. According to security sources, the operation was launched after credible intelligence was received on the whereabouts of the suspects. The security team traced the kidnappers to a hideout around Suktu Mountain, where a raid was carried out, leading to the safe rescue of the victims. The teenagers were recovered unharmed and have since been reunited with their family members. During the operation, one suspected kidnapper was arrested, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend other fleeing members of the criminal gang. The suspect is currently in police custody and is expected to be charged to court upon completion of investigations. The Adamawa State Police Command reiterated its commitment to combating kidnapping and other criminal activities across the state. Residents were urged to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies to aid ongoing operations. The rescue comes amid intensified efforts by security agencies to dismantle kidnapping networks and improve safety across communities in Adamawa State.
