APC Releases Timetable for 2025/2026 Nationwide Congresses and National Convention
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the official schedule of activities for its 2025/2026 nationwide ward, local government, state and zonal congresses, as well as its national convention.
The timetable, issued by the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, outlines key dates for membership registration, purchase of nomination forms, screening of aspirants, conduct of congresses, and appeal processes leading up to the national convention.
According to the schedule, membership e-registration will commence on December 1, 2025, and end on January 30, 2026. Notices of congresses will be sent to state and Federal Capital Territory chapters on February 2, 2026.
Purchase and submission of forms for ward and local government area (LGA) congresses will take place between February 4 and February 9, 2026, followed by the inauguration of ward/LGA congresses and screening appeal committees on February 10. Screening of aspirants for ward and LGA party positions is slated for February 11 to 13, while ward congresses will hold on February 18, 2026. LGA congresses are scheduled for February 20, 2026.
For state and zonal activities, purchase of forms for state executive positions will run from February 23 to 27, 2026. Screening of aspirants for state executive positions will be conducted from March 2 to 4, with state congresses fixed for March 7, 2026.
Zonal congresses will take place on March 21, 2026, across designated geopolitical zones while the party’s national convention is scheduled to hold from March 25 to March 28, 2026.

The schedule is expected to guide the party’s internal electoral process as it prepares to select new leadership at all levels ahead of future political engagements.
