Shagari Commends Tinubu’s Economic Reforms, Governance

Muntari Shagari, NIWA Board Chairman, has commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for revitalizing purposeful governance.

He noted that the “Renewed Hope Agenda” is successfully restoring public trust and reshaping Nigeria’s economic landscape.

In a Wednesday interview, Shagari described the President’s economic policies as bold and transformative. He highlighted that these measures were specifically designed to tackle the deep-rooted structural challenges inherited by the current administration.

Shagari recalled that Tinubu took office during a period of severe economic distress and soaring inflation. He emphasized that recent deliberate reforms are finally reversing these trends and providing relief to the Nigerian people.

While admitting the reforms caused initial hardship, the former minister maintained that such sacrifices were necessary.

He argued these steps were essential to stabilize the economy and create a foundation for sustainable long-term growth.

The chairman urged Nigerians to remain patient, asserting that short-term discomfort is a precursor to future benefits. He expressed confidence that the government’s current path will eventually lead to prosperity for all citizens.

Reflecting on the administration’s progress, Shagari stated: “President Bola Tinubu’s policies are reviving purposeful governance and restoring hope to Nigerians at all levels.”
