Mytfwang Laments Terror Attacks in Plateau Communities

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has strongly condemned the recent wave of violent attacks on several communities in the state, describing the incidents as heartless and unacceptable.
He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and the destruction of property, emphasizing that such acts of terror have no place in a civilized society.
The Governor called on security agencies to intensify their efforts in tracking down the perpetrators of these heinous crimes. He urged the military and police to remain vigilant and proactive in their duties, ensuring that peace is restored to the embattled regions and that the displaced residents can safely return to their homes.
Mutfwang also reached out to the affected families, offering his condolences and promising that the state government would provide necessary support.
He emphasized the importance of unity among the diverse ethnic and religious groups in Plateau, warning that the attackers seek to sow seeds of discord and chaos.
In a direct address to the security forces and the public regarding the gravity of the situation, Governor Mutfwang stated: “This is terrorism; this is genocide, plain and simple.” He stressed that the narrative often used to describe these events must change to reflect the reality of the targeted violence being unleashed on innocent citizens.
The state government has pledged to work closely with the federal government to bolster security infrastructure in the North Central region. Governor Mutfwang reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of all Plateau residents, vowing that the government will not rest until justice is served.
