The Gombe State Government has confirmed the death of Ibrahim Nazifi, a newly recruited trainee of the Nigerian Army. Nazifi, who hailed from Buba Bani Village in the Kashere Ward of Akko Local Government Area, passed away while undergoing training at the Nigerian Army Depot in Zaria.
The deceased was part of the first batch of successful candidates from Gombe State enrolled in the Nigerian Army Regular Recruit Intake (NA RRI 90).

He identified the recruit by his application number, 90RRI-GO-9017726, and expressed profound grief over the loss of such a promising young man.
In his official address, Danbayo shared the weight of the tragedy, stating: **“It is with deep sorrow, humility and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah that I announce the passing of Ibrahim Nazifi, one of our promising recruits undergoing training at the Nigerian Army Depot, Zaria.”**
The state government described Nazifi as a patriotic individual who was eager to answer the call of duty. Danbayo noted that his passing is a significant loss not only to his immediate family and the people of Akko Local Government but also to the entire state and all those who support the military.
The Gombe State Government extended its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the late recruit. Prayers were offered for the repose of his soul, with the government asking for divine mercy and for him to be granted Aljannatul Firdaus.
