Jandor Unveils Campaign Website Ahead of 2027 Lagos APC Primaries

Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has officially signaled his intent to contest the 2027 Lagos State governorship election under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The move was confirmed through a campaign flyer shared on Wednesday, prominently featuring the slogan “Jandor for Governor, Lagos State 2027,” marking an early start to his political ambitions.

In a bid to engage directly with the electorate, Jandor announced the launch of his official campaign website, which he described as the “digital heartbeat” of his journey. He characterized the platform as an open civic space designed to allow Lagosians to interrogate his ideas, contribute to his vision, and help shape a policy agenda aimed at state prosperity.

While acknowledging that other qualified aspirants within the party may eventually emerge, Jandor emphasized that his current focus remains on the APC leadership and the residents of Lagos. He called for collective responsibility in governance, urging citizens to visit the site to view his roadmap for an inclusive state and to participate in the ongoing political conversation.

Jandor’s move comes after a high-profile exit from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he served as the gubernatorial candidate during the 2023 elections alongside running mate Funke Akindele. He officially returned to the APC in March 2025, citing internal indiscipline and anti-party activities within the PDP as his primary reasons for defecting.

His return to the ruling party has not been without controversy, as some members of the opposition have viewed his defection with skepticism. Specifically, the Lagos PDP leadership previously alleged that Jandor may have been a “plant” used to destabilize the opposition, a claim that underscores the competitive and complex nature of the Lagos political landscape heading toward 2027.
