Ogun Police Arraign Doctor Over Alleged Fake Medical Report Linked to Blogger Adetoun Onajobi

The Ogun State Police Command has arraigned a medical doctor for allegedly falsifying a medical report to help social media influencer Adetoun Onajobi, popularly known as @justadetoun, evade a police invitation over cyberbullying charges.

Police said the doctor was brought before an Ogun State Magistrates’ Court on charges of conspiracy, uttering a false document, and obstructing the course of justice. The case is linked to an ongoing six-count charge filed against Onajobi at the Federal High Court in Abeokuta for alleged violations of the Cybercrimes Act.

According to the police, Onajobi was invited for questioning on January 2, 2026, over alleged false online accusations and bullying directed at the Ogun State Governor. However, she failed to honour the invitation. Her lawyer later wrote to the police, claiming she was medically unfit to attend, and attached a medical report purportedly issued by a doctor.

The police said discreet investigations revealed that the medical report was false. The doctor allegedly admitted that the report was prepared at the request of Onajobi during a phone conversation facilitated by her lawyer.

Following this development, the doctor was arrested and subsequently arraigned in court.

Police authorities said Onajobi has remained evasive and has continued to ignore police invitations. Her current whereabouts, they added, are unknown.

The Ogun State Police Command said it remains committed to tackling all forms of crime, including digital and cyber-related offences, while respecting citizens’ constitutional rights.

It also noted that freedom of expression does not provide immunity from criminal conduct.

Police said efforts are ongoing to apprehend Onajobi and other individuals allegedly connected to the dissemination of false information aimed at obstructing investigations.

The statement was signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oluseyi B. Babaseyi, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, Abeokuta, on January 19, 2026.
