Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, is set to celebrate a massive family milestone as nine of his children are scheduled to get married on the same day.
The invitation for the grand ceremony has circulated widely on social media, sparking significant public interest across the country.
The mass wedding is scheduled to take place on February 6 at the Abuja Central Mosque.
The ceremony is expected to begin at 1:30 pm, drawing high-profile guests, political associates, and family members to the nation’s capital for the festivities.
According to a spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, Yusuf Idris, the group of children getting married consists of five sons and four daughters.
The names of the children listed for the ceremony are Ibrahim, Suraj, Safiya, Maryam, Aisha, Fahad, Muh’d, Nana Firdausi, and Farida.
Organizers have confirmed that preparations for the event are already at an advanced stage. A dedicated committee is currently working to ensure a smooth and successful ceremony, given the scale of the logistics required for nine simultaneous weddings.
Bello Matawalle, who previously served as the Governor of Zamfara State, continues to be a prominent figure in Nigerian politics. This upcoming event marks a rare and historic moment for the Minister’s family, combining multiple traditional wedding rites into one large-scale celebration.
